The course represents an introduction of some fundamental issues of IHL which concern equally the international community and the public conscience. International terrorism, use of weapons, maintaining the nuclear power balance, ideological mercenaries, ethnical cleansing or international criminal responsibility for most hideous international crimes are only some of the issues which shall be presented during this course in an interactive and inciting manner.
The course shall prove itself useful and challenging for a law student which is interested in getting familiar both notionally and factually with a reality which marks our day to day world. The grading exam shall be in the form of a simulation of a real situation which requires IHL applicability and solution.
