The purpose of this course is to explore in a critical and comparative manner modern political ideas and ideologies such as liberalism, socialism, conservatism, anarchism, nationalism, fascism. The course has a strong comparative dimension, focusing on political developments throuought the world in a particular timeframe starting with the French Revolution up to the period of the Second World War.
