European Union Institutions

Objectives of the course: knowledge, understanding, acquiring information and preparation to put in practice the information acquired in the field of the institutional European Union system, studying the norms of EU law, of the characteristics and specifically mechanisms of EU institutions – their existence, organization, functioning and development, and also understanding the status as a EU member state, containing rights and obligations (judicial dimension).

The course The European Union Institutions presents and proposes for the students a debate on: the principles governing the activity of the EU institutions, their specificity, and the originality of the institutional system, the conceptual delimitations and also the presentation of the institutions in their evolution.
The purpose of the course is to focus on the understanding of the importance of EU institutions in the perspective of Romania’s integration to the European Union, of the position, interests and content of obligations of the Romanian administrative and judicial authorities as a result of the accession to the EU.
